Got these headphones for Christmas. I travel about three times a week, so for me these are a life saver. I would say for the price that these headphones are absolutely amazing. They cancel out the noise and while listening to music or movies, the sound is crystal clear. Good base tones as well. I would not pay $300 or more for another brand, these work just great!

After 2 years these are still serving me well as headphones for my computer laptop. The pads are good as new; the sound is still clear and deep. I really like having the volume control on the cord, so I don’t have to fiddle with the computer to change the sound level. They are light on the head and I wear them for hours without noticing that they are there. They are light, so if you are hard (!) on your headphones, then maybe you might want something more substantial. Sometimes the sounds of the headphones depend a lot on the program they are used on. Some applications require audio enhancers, some merely require setting up the equalizer to where you like it. With a decent frequency range and fairly sturdy speakers, for the average listener, and for the money, these can’t be beat.

I bought these even though there weren’t any reviews on them, because I have had good experiences with other Panasonic products. I guess I ended up as the Guinea Pig, because these headphones simply do not do what they promise. The main purpose for buying them is the noise cancellation. I tried them during an airplane trip and I could not hear a difference in ambient noise when I turn the switch on or off. I have experienced other noise cancelling headphonses (Bose and Sony/Aiwa) and there is a very perceptible noise reduction.

Other than the fact that they don’t work, the design is very cheap. The roll up mechanism doesn’t work too well and the case is bulky and made from cheap plastic.

I got these as a gift at Christmas ‘07 and within 4 months they broke. I don’t know what happened but the sound got all screwed up, I think because the wiring is extremely flimsy and not well-protected by the super thin black sheath around it. If i jiggled the cord it would help but still the sound was messed up, like the music was coming from under water or certain vocals couldn’t be heard.

These fit in my ears very well, better than the Sony MDR-NC22’s that i currently have.

The noise-canceling was superb because of the tight fit in your ear canal, great for a noisy cubicle environment. But the wiring breakage after 4 months of gentle use is pathetic; my parents’ 24-year-old Panasonic microwave puts to shame this cheaply manufactured product. The flimsy wires also get severely tangled so that was a pain.
