I Have these wonderful headphones and I use the foam buds because none of the rubber ones fit my ears. That said, you have to replace the foam ones every month or two depending how gross you can stand them and at 40 for a measly 5 pairs: that’s a total rip-off.

Sound quality is the best I’ve heard for an earphones product. The only negative I have found is that they are nearly impossible to use while running.

Shure EA410S soft replacement sleeves work very well. Make sure to get the right ones for you so that they fit comfortably, since everyone’s ears are different, go figure! And by the way, for extra external noise reduction I also really like Shure’s triple flanged sleeves (Shure EA306 Triple Flange Sleeves). So if you are looking for sleeves to block everything out but the music (for example, during inflight listening, or in other noisy circumstances), I recommend the latter. I use mine interchangeably depending on the situation (for example I use the grey EA410S’s at work so that I can still hear the phones ringing etc).

I use these headphones with my iPhone. Quality build with thick wiring. Heavier than i would normally like but not uncomfortable. Fine for jogging and bike riding. Sound quality is decent/good but compared to the VModa headphones i used before, VModa definately had better bass and wider sound spectrum.

Pricey and disappointing! I bought this based on the reviews and I’m sorry I did. These have no bass to speak of. It’s like listening to an old AM transistor radio. The plugs won’t stay in my ears, no matter what size I use. It’s the last Shure product I will buy,that’s for SURE!

My order for the Shure Se110’s just came and I have to say, these are absolutely amazing. My other headphones/earbuds include the Sennheiser CX300’s, V-moda vibes and bass, Creative Ep 630’s, 830’s and Aurvana In-Ear’s as well as the Aurvana Live! Headphones (and I use them for my Creative Zen). Out of all of the earbuds, the Shure SE110’s are undoubtedly the best. The build is solid and comfortable; all the wires are the perfect thickness for reduced wire noise and durability. The greatest perk for the SE110’s is the sound quality for the price and portability. All the lows, mids and highs are well balanced, vocals are crisp and clear, you can even make out all the minute vibrations from a guitar or piano and none of the bass muddies up the mids and highs. The bass is solid and well defined; those who have complained about weak bass are either wearing their buds wrong, using the wrong size tips, or are just plain bass-junkies. One of the biggest concerns with earbuds are the lack of soundstage but the SE110’s maintain all the proper depth and separation as can be expected from even full size headphones. And finally, the isolation is as can be expected from high quality earbuds. Foam tip or no foam tip, you’re going to have problems hearing anything besides your music (just make sure to try out all the tips for best fit). Overall, these earbuds get a 5/5 star rating and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for good sub-$100 earbuds (and quite frankly, I wouldn’t have minded paying the list price).

After note: I’m amazed that some have reviewed the Shure’s and stated that the Skullcandy Ink’d are just as good. (If its you..) Please get your ears checked.

I bought this as a replacement for my old Sony noise canceling headphones and as an alternative to ear plugs for my long air trips.

Neither works, unfortunately - it keeps falling off - i keep inserting them into my ear (very uncomfortable) but regardless, they break loos, letting in all background noise.

After 4 hours I used my standard iPhone earphones instead. Bummer.

Left my E4c on a plane. You are welcome to whoever picked them up! I like the noise isolating for riding a bike as the wind noise makes any other listening options impossible. The SE310 is great when stationary. A perfect fit is mandatory. “Bright” would seem an appropriate term. My girlfriend was unable to get a fit and scoffed at the expense.

My largest complaint is the MASSIVE connector mid cable. Where the Y terminates into another jack leading to the beefy male connector. It weighs as much as my ipod. On a plane, no big whoop. On a bike, in the gym, on a jog: huge issue. Even when used in the over the ear fashion the weight tugs on the earpieces, upsetting the perfect fit and losing all mid and bass.

If you can find a pair of E4c’s buy them! Light and great fit and sound. I would buy these only for physically inactive options. The sound is superior, but for me less functional.

My early new year’s resolution is now to stop destroying packaging so I can return products that I am not happy with. My solution was to buy Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 Pro Earphones. Recommended, however have required two RMA’s.
